Verbivore

Verbs can broadly be catagorised into two groups, viz. Transitive(Tr.) & Intransitive(Int.).
When the action performed by the verb is passed over from the Subject of the sentence to the Object we get a transitionally used verb.
For example, in the sentence- "Rama with his army defeated Ravana" the verb- defeat is being transited from the subject- Rama, to the object, i.e Ravana.
And in the example,- "The child cried." - the verb- cry isn't passed over from the subject- child to no object whatsoever. Bookmark Digg Bookmark Del.icio.us Bookmark Facebook Bookmark Reddit Bookmark StumbleUpon Bookmark Yahoo Bookmark Google Bookmark Technorati Bookmark Twitter
